AquaFed was a Board member of the World Water Council for the last six years and we are now represented by one of our members, the French national private operator association, FP2E.

We contribute to the Council’s working groups, including the group on finance. But our major activity is being involved in the organisation and participating at the World Water Forums.

For the World Water Forum in Riyadh in 2027, AquaFed is leading the innovation theme. The areas we will cover with our partners will be agreed by early July 2026. We have very radical plans to present the innovation theme  in a totally immersive and interactive way– including gamification, pitches and live demonstrations. More details will be published soon.

At the previous Forum in Bali, we took the lead to organise the conference sessions under the theme of Water, Security and Prosperity. Our members were also able to share their expertise in more than 20 sessions and in four ministerial-level panels.
