Ulrike Kelm

Director of Communications

Ulrike Kelm joined AquaFed in 2015 as Director of Communications. Ms Kelm´s international water sector career in international relations, water and communications began when joining the GIZ (then GTZ) secretariat of the International Conference on Freshwater hosted by the German government in 2000. It was followed by positions in Latin America and the Middle East for the German development cooperation sector, international water fora, and the United Nations. At the latter she acted as Communications and Media Expert at the United Nations Water Decade Office and for UN-Water in Zaragoza, Spain. Prior to her engagement in the water sector she was enrolled in development cooperation with German political foundations in Latin America and she worked in the news department of the TV channel RTL.

 

Being a German national, Ms. Kelm holds a Master´s degree in international relations from the University of Cologne in Germany, and an Executive Master of Science in communications management from the University of Lugano in Switzerland. Ulrike Kelm has lived and worked in developing and developed countries and speaks English, German, and Spanish.
